2026 God Centered Resolutions

I’m a professional organizer and lifestyle manager, so goal-setting is basically in my DNA. I mean… would I even be an organizer if I didn’t love a good plan? But I’d be lying if I said I always hit every goal I set. And honestly, 2025 was the year I accomplished the least.
Every year, I set goals, make a vision board, and write out my “Steve Harvey-style” list of 300 dreams. I’ve done Gabby Bernstein challenges, I’ve done Manifestation Babe challenges—I've tried all the things. This year, I was right in the middle of Mel Robbins’ “6 Questions That Will Change Your Life” exercise for 2026 when, out of nowhere, it hit me: I can’t do this year the same way. I need to do it differently. I need my resolutions to be God-focused.
I wasn’t sure how to make my resolutions more God-focused… and then I felt a nudge: Read Proverbs. Pick the verses that stand out to you, and let them guide your resolutions this year.
My verse of the year:

Before I make decisions this year, I’m going to pause and ask: Is this a vanity move, or is this of God?Does it line up with Scripture? Does it sit right in my spirit? Does it bring peace to my heart?
My goals for 2026 aren’t drastically different from years past—but my why is. My motivation is shifting from “how it looks” to how it honors God.
Example: Fitness
One of my goals is to be fit and toned. In the past, I chased that for vanity. Now, it’s about stewardship.
My body is a temple God entrusted to me. He didn’t give it to me so I could neglect it, wear it down, or fill it with what harms it. He gave it to me to live with strength, clarity, and discipline—so I can do what He’s called me to do on this earth.
My body is not disposable. It’s precious. And in 2026, I’m choosing to treat it that way.
Supporting verses
1 Corinthians 6:19–20“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit… You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.”
1 Corinthians 10:31“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”
Proverbs 16:24“Kind words are like honey—sweet to the soul and healthy for the body.”
Jeremiah 30:17“But I will restore you to health and heal your wounds,” declares the Lord.
I have supporting Scripture for each of my goals, and that’s the standard I’m aiming for in 2026.
Am I perfect? No.
Will I make mistakes? Yes.
But I know this: honoring God is the way forward—and that’s how I’m choosing to live this year.

If you’re looking to live a more God-centered life this year, one simple way to start is by reading your Bible every morning.
I’ve noticed that when I start my day with God’s Word, my whole day goes better. And even on the hard days—when nothing seems to be going right—turning to Him shifts my perspective. It reminds me that God is still in control, that everything happens for a reason, and that “this too shall pass.”
Starting your morning with Scripture doesn’t make life perfect… but it does help you walk through it with more peace, more clarity, and a steadier heart.
